Why did you choose Dalton State? Location! DSC is in my hometown, and you cannot beat the affordability.
What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? It is exciting to feel part of something that is much greater than yourself. Roadrunner Nation is encouraging, uplifting, and supportive. It’s inspiring to consistently be surrounded by the type of community that empowers you to be your BEST self each and every day.
What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to go to medical school.
Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Dr. Collison because of his personality and sense of humor. He can make you crack a smile and laugh while still teaching you difficult material. He is always willing to help and go the extra mile for all his students.
What activities are you involved in on campus? Beta Chi Nu and SAVE
What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? Two-time recipient of the Jolly Family Scholarship in Science & Mathematics and doing research with Dr. Shim
Where is your favorite study spot? The majority of my classes are in Peeples Hall, and my go-to spot is one of the tables on the third floor. I love the open space and being surrounded by all the windows so that I can look outside from time to time.
Favorite comfort food? Macaroni and cheese
If you had a theme song, what would it be? “Dancing Queen” by Abba

What is your guilty pleasure? Reality television
If you won the lottery, what would you do? Travel the world! My first destination would be Paris.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? I wanted to be an elementary school teacher.
As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? Show strength and determination in all that you do. Believe in yourself and trust that you have the ability to accomplish anything you set your mind to. No dream is too big, and those who choose to “run boldly” will not come up short.
